One inventory, meaningful layers.
See apps, game clients, command-line tools, packages, and managed components without flattening them into one misleading list.
A clearer view of your Mac
Apps, games, packages, and the things they bring with them. Update Atlas maps what it finds, who owns each update, and where the evidence ends.

An illustration of how Atlas connects your software and its update sources.
THE PROBLEM
Software on a Mac lives in more places than the Applications folder. A version number alone rarely tells you who manages it or whether a newer version can be trusted.
See apps, game clients, command-line tools, packages, and managed components without flattening them into one misleading list.
Atlas separates an app's own updater from App Store, Homebrew, Microsoft AutoUpdate, and other release sources.
When a reliable comparison is missing or a check fails, Atlas says so. It never turns a lack of evidence into “Up to Date.”
A QUIETER KIND OF UPDATE TOOL
Inventory scans are read-only. Update checks can contact configured sources to compare versions. Where a supported update action is available, Atlas asks before it changes anything.
Find software and the components managed beneath it.
Compare against supported sources, with missing evidence left visible.
Open the right destination or confirm an eligible update yourself.
Installation support is still being tested. Atlas does not automatically install third-party updates during a scan.
FOR YOUR WORKFLOW
The bundled command-line tool gives you structured, versioned JSON for Terminal, scripts, and AI assistants. Read-only inventory and checks, with a real offline mode when you want local facts only.
